It was a wild game but unfortunately the Express lost in a crazy 8-6 game.

Currently the express have 2 points up on Cowichan Valley for the last playoff spot with 5 games remaining, so it will be right down to the wire.

I’m currently working on some new business cards as well, so I will throw those templates up in the next couple of days. Thankfully my stomach infection is disappearing, so now I am really putting the pedal to the metal to make up for lost time!

However, I did manage to photograph the Coquitlam Vs Surrey BCHL game on Thursday. Sadly, Surrey beat coquitlam in a 5-2 victory for them, but it was a pretty good game.

Since then, Coquitlam had back to back games on friday and suturday. They lost on friday and won on saturday and are still tied with Cowichan Valley, so the race is still on!

Ok, back to laying back on the couch….

It was a great game and I was glad to capture a pretty good shot of Destry Straight. Sometimes you have games where everything goes your way, or others where everything goes wrong (aka: camera errors, ref/other players get in the way or water on the glass to name a few)

On a bit of a scary note for me, I became a bit nervous after hearing about a HUGE cyclone heading towards Townsville, as many of you know I spent a good 3 months down there and it has a special place in my heart. Hopefully the storm will lose it’s power, but it’s not looking like that’s going to happen. I have been speaking with some friends in the city and of course there are specific evacuation plans if it comes down to that, so I will be watching that very closely.

A little good and a little bad, but I guess that’s how life runs sometimes!

Cowichan Valley and Coquitlam are currently in a very tight race for the last play off spot in the standings, with about 10 games left in the season. So it looks like it’s going to it be an exciting push to the end of the season for both teams.

A couple of days ago I was cruising the Coquitlam Express website and when I noticed that they used one my photos.

This is the following photo:



I would like to thank The Coquitlam Express for picking up my photo and using it on there main page. I started going to the Coquitlam Express games with my dad as a child, all the way through my teens and into my 20′s. For me this is quite the honor to see it come around full circle.

If you have never checked out the BCHL or a Coquitlam Express game before, I would definitely recommend you take in a game or two. It is hands down some of most exciting hockey you will ever see!

New Year,  New Start, New Beginning.

Over the past two years I’ve the opportunity to experience what the world has had to offer. Living on the island, getting my first taste of assisting, traveling to Australia and a lot of life experience. In these learning experiences, I gained a new idea about the work I would like to do, the business I want to start and the way I would like to execute those ideas.

This blog will be a outlet for me to show my work, share my ideas, as well as communicate and network with people in the industry.
