Paper Crane Wedding: John and Megan at ArtsRiot

John and Megan’s wedding at Arts Riot is everything I want at a wedding:

Thoughtful touches, delicious food, and an overall chill vibe. Their big DIY focus was on the paper crane arch they built THEMSELVES (I think the final count was 300 cranes?), but otherwise, they strived to have the day be about bringing their awesome friends and family together to throw a big party. Oh, and lots of board games. Can Settlers of Catan be the next wedding reception staple?

From scavenger hunts to board games, the day was really focused on having the most fun possible. They picked May 4th as their wedding day, so obviously they had more than a few homages to Star Wars trickled throughout - their wedding cake definitely was my personal favorite from the theme.

But overall, these things didn’t distract from why everyone came together - seeing Megan and John officially begin their life together in a way that truly let their personalities shine really made the day special. I am so honored to know these two and call them friends <3
