Turning 30

This past weekend was a milestone for me -

I am no longer considered a 20-something trying to figure things out. Now I’m a 30-something trying to figure things out!

This past year has been a whirlwind of changes for me - from becoming an aunt to my beautiful niece, taking the leap to full time photographer after working in an office for most of my adult career, and even just eating healthier for the first time ever in my life.

I can honestly say turning 30 wasn’t something I was looking forward to for most of my life, but after I turned 29 I suddenly didn’t seem to care any more. This has been of year at being at peace with myself and what I want out of life, and no longer telling myself that what I want isn’t attainable. Life is just too short to not go for what you want.

I spent my weekend with friends and family in one of the more remote parts of Vermont I’ve come across, and it was the best. From the amazing cheese house my partner’s mother made for me to my niece’s laughter filling our little AirBNB, it was one of the best weekends of my 30’s to date ;-)
