After we had a picked a date for a couple’s photo session in early May, Arlo secretly emailed me to tell me he was planning on proposing to Anne during the session.

Me in early March: looking for a fun project to keep me occupied for the cold winter months. Me a few weeks later: bouncing off trees and hanging on for dear life on the back of a dogsled in Northern Minnesota.

When Morgan reached out to me to see if I was available to photograph her late summer wedding in Maine, I was thrilled. I have so many fond memories of Morgan being a feisty ball of energy, I knew that whoever had scored her heart was in for a fun ride.

When Zack reached out to me to help him capture his proposal to Amber, I jumped at the opportunity. Hearing how excited he was to surprise Amber, I knew this moment was gonna be something special.

Despite the elements, Nicolle and Houston rallied for their engagement session and we ended with some of my favorite winter portraits to date.
