Romantic Winter Wedding at the Mountaintop Inn

I sometimes struggle to remember what weddings were like before 2020. The thought of people coming together in large numbers without doing all the gymnastics of health screening, testing, and risk assessing seems like an utterly foreign world to me. But when I think back to the last wedding I shot before the pandemic (literally weeks before things started getting serious), I remember every detail so clearly. It feels right to share their beautiful snowy wedding day at the Mountaintop Inn and Resort as we come up on Amber and Zack’s TWO YEAR anniversary (!) as a way to celebrate.

Snowy Winter Wedding in Chittenden, Vermont

After I photographed Zack’s proposal to Amber the year before, and connecting on such an amazing day, it felt so right when they reached out to have me photograph their wedding too. Planning all the details before their wedding was a total breeze. I will however say the first look photos were during one of the coldest days of the year, so we made sure to build in lotttts of time for warming up between photos. But even with the frigid temperatures to deal with, the day went beautifully. With the freezing temperatures we got amazing visibility of the mountains surrounding the resort, and we got Amber’s wish of getting beautiful landscape shots during their indoor ceremony in the wedding barn.

The reception was full of beautiful details and delicious snacks, my favorite being the maple syrup favors at each place setting. Amber and Zack’s first dance under twinkle lights was the perfect touch to add to the cozy factor. Topping the night off with some of the craziest dance moves from friends and families I’ve seen even since then!

Amber and Zack - happy two year anniversary! Wishing you both the best <3
